Ramen-iscing: A Meal at MOMI

I have been looking for a really good noodle place ever since I moved here a little over year ago. I’ve been to a few spots but nothing lived up to the noodles I had in NYC… until now. MOMI opened its doors December 1st, in a small space off S Miami ave in Brickell. I got the […]

A Full Plate: Riverside Market

After a long day at work, is there really anything better than a good beer with awesome friends? Ft. Lauderdale’s Riverside Market is just the place for that with wall to wall chilled beer fridges and a ton of comfortable couches. Plus, they have a great food menu that has a little bit of everything […]

Since there are no authentic Korean restaurants in Miami, we had to drive up north to Lauderhill to fill our Korean fix. At ROK all the dishes are made to order so you can really enjoy your meal without having to smell like BBQ, which was a plus for me. You are served with 8 different banchan dishes for the table to share which accompany the main course, bulgogi, grilled chicken, pork belly, and spicy marinated pork. My favorite dishes were the grilled chicken, pork belly, zucchini, and the onion scallion salad. Overall I was completely satisfied with my all-you-can-eat experience.

The Brew: Introducing Beck’s Sapphire

While Miami isn’t typically known for a large beer community, Beck’s changed the game by unveiling their latest offering in South Florida. Beck’s Sapphire clocks in at 6 percent ABV and is one of the higher-alcohol beers from the Anheuser-Busch family. It made it’s first debut on New Years Eve and was featured at celebrations all over Miami! […]

A Full Plate: Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlor & Restaurant

With eight of us in the group, it’s been really great to explore everyone’s different tastes in food. Some of us like it really spicy, while some of us are still on the mild side of things. Of course, the one thing we can all agree on is that we love dessert. Cake, ice cream, […]

The Best of Brunch: The Federal Miami

Brunch is easily anyone’s most enjoyable meal of the week. My favorite kind of brunches are the ones that are long and spent with friends and tasty drinks. The ideal location is a space that’s comfortable and inviting with a staff that’s similar. Mark and I found this and food that’s more than blog-worthy at […]

A Full Plate: Mallets in Hand at Rustic Inn

Oh, Rustic Inn… The Collective Plate is definitely planning on coming back. It’s always great to find places that aren’t just about the food, but the overall experience as well. With our mallets in hand, the team wasn’t afraid to get dirty for the sake of great seafood. Of course, it also helped that they […]

A Full Plate: A Vegetarian Venture: Mi Vida Cafe

Always up for a food challenge, The Collective Plate was pretty excited about their first vegetarian meal at Miami’s Mi Vida Cafe. While known for their fresh food made with locally sourced ingredients, the team’s proud carnivores were still apprehensive about the meatless options. (And dinner with the group is always a good time!) Keep […]
